To make a great first impression and maximize engagement with Job Seekers, complete all the steps in this Getting Started guide to ensure you have an eye-catching store front for prospective candidates.
Included with any active post on CoolWorks, a Basic Profile is your introduction to Job Seekers. This information will appear in conjunction with any active jobs you post to the site. To get started, let's walk through setting up the Basic Profile.
Navigating to the Basic Profile Editor
When you log in to your employer account, you'll be viewing the Employer Dashboard. Scroll down to the Employer Profile section, and select Basic Profile.
Add a Headline, Company Intro, and Location Description
From the Basic Profile editor, you can click on any empty field to edit or update it at any time. Immediately under your company name, you'll locate the fields to edit your Headline, Company Intro, and Location Description. Simply click anywhere in those fields (they'll say Empty if nothing has been entered), fill them out, and click the ✓ icon to save your information. Here's some pointers on what to include in each field.
Headline: The headline is an opportunity to grab the attention of Job Seekers with something unique, genuine, or special about spending a season with your company. What's the best thing about living and working there? Whatever you want to emphasize about your company and joining your team, include it in your headline.
Company Intro: Provide 2 - 4 sentences of basic information about your company's history, basic operations, values, and/or mission.
Location Description:CoolWorks Job Seekers are looking to discover Great Places through seasonal jobs. Use this section to describe your Great Place, including nearby attractions (National Parks, mountain ranges, beaches, outdoor recreational opportunities, etc.).
Complete "The Scoop" & Contact Info
The Scoop contains basic information that we've found a lot of our Job Seekers want to know before making a commitment to move across the country to spend a season at your Great Place. Be thorough and transparent: it doesn't do anyone any favors to sugar coat the facts. And if you don't have great phone coverage or internet, don't fret! Lots of CoolWorks Job Seekers are excited at the prospect of being able to disconnect.
The Contact Info is how you would like Job Seekers to reach you if they'd like more information. Be as thorough here as you'd like. If you don't want your phone ringing off the hook with questions, feel free to leave some fields blank. You'll have the opportunity to provide more information on How to Apply on your actual Job Posts.
