How to Reserve and Purchase a Featured Boost

If you're wanting to get an extra surge of traffic to your Enhanced Employer Profile or Individual Ad, the Featured Boost is the ticket. To retain their value and performance, only a limited inventory of Featured Boosts are available at any one time. Because of this, Featured Boosts are subject to available inventory.

This article outlines how to reserve and purchase a Featured Boost for all of our different advertising options.

How to Feature an Active Enhanced Employer Profile

To schedule a Featured Boost for your Enhanced Employer Profile:

• Log in to your Dashboard 
• Click Profile 
• Scroll down to the Enhanced Profile section
• Click the orange Boost It button
• From the Calendar Tool, select the date you'd like your Featured Boost to launch from the available inventory
• Once you've confirmed your Featured Profile start date and provided a custom Headline for your Featured Boost, press the red "Boost It" button, and follow the prompts to provide your payment information to complete the purchase

Please note, your Enhanced Employer Profile must be Activated (for a 1, 3, 6, or 12 month term) before you will be able to reserve a Featured Profile. Additionally, the "Feature It" button will not appear if there is no available inventory to match your Profile.

How to Feature a Highlighted Job

For an Active Highlighted Job

• Log in to your Dashboard
• Select Job Posts 
• Locate the active Highlighted Job you'd like to Feature, and click on the Job Title
• Click the red Boost It button underneath the scheduled dates. 
• From the Calendar Tool, select the date you'd like your Featured Boost to launch from the available inventory
• Once you've confirmed your Featured Profile start date, press the red "Feature It" button, and follow the prompts to provide your payment information to complete the purchase

Please note, the "Boost It" button will not appear if there is no available inventory to match your active Highlighted Job.

For a new Highlighted Job to be Featured on its start date

If you are posting a new Highlighted Job, you can reserve and pay for your Highlighted Job to be Featured from its start date (i.e. you Highlighted Job will be Featured for the first 7 days of its 30 day run). In the process of posting a Highlighted Job, once you reach the final "Pay and Post" page, follow these steps:

• In the calendar tool on the Pay and Post page, pick a start date that is highlighted in green
• Under the "Feature Your Highlighted Job" section, check the box that says "Boost This Post for the First Week?"
• Proceed to follow the prompts to finalize your post and provide payment

For a new Highlighted Job to be Featured on a future date

If you are posting a new Highlighted Job and want to Feature it for a week in the future:

• Create the ad, select the date you want it to start, pay, and post.

• You'll now see it at the top of your Jobs Post list. Select it.

• Select the red Feature It button.

• From the Calendar Tool, select the date you'd like your Featured Boost to launch from the available inventory

• Once you've confirmed your Featured job post start date, press the red "Feature It" button, and follow the prompts to provide your payment information to complete the purchase.

How to Feature a Help Wanted Ad

Because the Help Wanted Ad and Featured Boosts both run for exactly 7 days, a Help Wanted Ad can not be Featured after it has been posted. In order to Feature a Help Wanted Ad, a Featured Boost must be reserved and purchased at the same time that you Pay and Post your Help Wanted Ad.

To post a Boosted Help Wanted Ad, follow the steps to post a Help Wanted Ad, and when you reach the Pay and Post page, follow these steps:

• In the calendar tool on the Pay and Post page, pick a start date that is highlighted in green
• Under the "Boost Your Help Wanted Ad" section, check the box that says "Boost This Post for the First Week?"
• Proceed to follow the prompts to finalize your post and provide payment

Special Instructions for Package Customers

If you are a customer that is using an Ad Package (pre-paid ad credits purchased in bulk), in order to Boost an Individual Ad (Highlighted Job or Help Wanted Ad), the Ad must first be scheduled to post. For a Help Wanted Ad, the Ad must already be scheduled to post and the start date must be at least one day in the future. So if you want to Boost an Individual Ad and you'll be using an ad package credit to post the Ad, follow these steps:

For a Help Wanted Ad

• Follow the usual steps to post a Help Wanted Ad
• On the Pay and Post page, select a start date that is at least one day in the future and is highlighted in green (the green indicates that Featured Boost inventory is available)
• Finalize the post by clicking Post This Job
• Return to your Dashboard, select the Job Posts tab, locate the pending Help Wanted Ad you just scheduled to post, and click on the Job Title
• Click the red Boost It button underneath the scheduled dates
• Follow the prompts to provide payment and reserve your Featured Boost

For a Highlighted Job

• Follow the usual steps to post a Highlighted Job
• On the Pay and Post page, select a start date that is at least one day in the future
• Finalize the post by clicking Post This Job
• Return to your Dashboard, select the Job Posts tab, locate the pending Highlighted Job you just scheduled to post, and click on the Job Title
• Click the red Boost It button underneath the scheduled dates
• From the Calendar Tool, select the date you'd like your Featured Boost to launch from the available inventory
• Once you've confirmed your Featured Profile start date, press the red "Boost It" button, and follow the prompts to provide your payment information to complete the purchase

Important facts to keep in mind regarding Featured Boosts:

1. To maintain equal access, Featured Boost can be reserved in a rolling 28 window, so they can only be booked (a max) of four weeks in advance. To book a date beyond that 28-day window, you'll need to come back at a later date.
2. Only one Boost per profile and/or ad can be running at any one time. This safeguard prevents you from competing with yourself for traffic.
3. As a best practice, we recommend spacing Boosts out by scheduling at least one "day off" in between them and changing the photo each time. These two steps help Featured Boosts remain powerful and impactful with each additional run.
