In the world of seasonal hiring, it's not at all uncommon to receive Applications from candidates who are really excited about your company and location and are willing to accept a wide range of Jobs beyond their Top 3 application choices. It's also not uncommon for less experienced candidates to select Jobs for their Top 3 for which they don't have the necessary experience (everyone wants to be a Bartender, right?).
For these candidates, your hiring team may need to Pass on their Top 3 choices for a wide range of reasons, but that doesn't necessarily mean you want to remove the candidate from consideration for all of your available jobs. Maybe after reviewing their application and work / education history, you realize they'd be a great fit for a different Job than what they selected for their Top 3 (e.g. A candidate with an undergraduate business degree and 3 years of bookkeeping experience selects Marina Attendant, Bellman, and Server for their Top 3 choices, but you've got an open Accounting Clerk job with their name on it). Or, maybe you have a conversation with one of those aspiring Bartender with 0 years of F & B experience but a great attitude and sparkling references, you give them a little more background on restaurant operations, how people usually progress their way up to bartender, and you work your recruiting magic to convince them to consider a busser or dishwasher position.
For situations like these, you may need to use the "Pass" action to remove them from consideration for the Jobs they applied for, but you can keep them in your applicant pool for consideration for a different job. When an Applicant has been passed on for all of their Top 3 Job Choices and any other Jobs they were assigned to, but they haven't yet been set to "Declined," the Applicant will move into "Final Review" status.
When an Applicant is in Final Review, two new buttons will appear on their dashboard:
- Assign to a Different Job - Assign the Applicant to a new Job for consideration
- Decline for All Jobs - Set the Applicant to the Status "Declined" and remove them from consideration for All Jobs
When any applicants is moved to Final Review, a button will also appear on your Staffing Center Dashboard allowing you to easily perform a filtered search of those Applicants so you can quickly process them and make next or final decisions for those Applicants.
