Help Wanted vs. Highlighted Job: Which Type Should You Post?

CoolWorks offers two unique ad options meant to support a wide variety of recruiting needs: the Help Wanted ad and the Highlighted Job ad. Each serves a unique purpose, and this article outlines all the ways each type can be used.

The Help Wanted Post

The Help Wanted Post is a 7 day, all-purpose ad. You can use the Help Wanted to advertise single or multiple positions, drive a fresh influx of traffic to your Enhanced Employer Profile, or promote a job fair. If you've got multiple openings that you're aiming to fill right away (even if the start date is several weeks away), the Help Wanted Ad is the best option for your needs.*  

The Highlighted Job Post

The Highlighted Job is a 30 day, single position post. We offer this post type for those specialized or hard-to-fill positions for which you want some extra time to find the perfect candidate. The Highlighted Job is used to recruit for positions with more specialized skill sets and experience levels (e.g. HR Manager, Fly Fishing Guide, Head Chef, etc.), or if you have multiple vacancies for the same job type (e.g. you need to hire 5 housekeepers, or 3 line cooks, etc.).

If you advertise multiple unique positions on a Highlighted Job ad, a member of the CoolWorks team will convert the post to a 7 day Help Wanted ad, and we'll refund you the difference in price.
